5th Annual National Veterans Small Business Week

November 5-9, 2018 marks the fifth annual National Veterans Small Business Week. NVSBW was created to honor Veteran entrepreneurs who continue to serve our country by starting businesses, creating jobs and fueling economic growth.

U.S. Veterans are an integral part of our business landscape. Veterans own and operate nearly one-tenth of the 27 million small businesses in the United States critical to our nation's economy.

National Veterans Small Business Week

This week, October 30 – November 3, is National Veterans Small Business Week. NVSBW was created to honor Veteran entrepreneurs who continue to serve our country by starting businesses, creating jobs and fueling economic growth.

With more than 27 million small businesses in the United States, small businesses are critical to our nation's economy, employing over half of the country's private-sector workforce.

Startup Financing Made Easier

August 4th was Startup Day Across America, when we celebrate entrepreneurs and connect them with elected officials to discuss the challenges that new companies face. Entrepreneurs are crucial to both local and national economic growth. For over 30 years, startups have created an average of 1.5 million jobs per year, and Texas ranks fifth highest on the Kauffman Index of Growth Entrepreneurship.

Stop Selling Yourself Short to Lenders

Winston Churchill said notably, "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." Too often, business owners approach lenders with an indifferent attitude about their company. When applying for any business loan, you should present your best qualities to lenders. In other words, you should sell lenders on the idea that your business is a great candidate for a loan. After all, no one knows your business better than you do!

The Importance of the 504 Loan Program
