Creative Style Furniture was founded by entrepreneur April Dardis in 2011. It is Houston's largest woman-owned upholstery company, hand-crafting custom furnishings for clients across the city, state, and country.
Each product developed in the Creative Style Furniture facility is cultivated by hand utilizing both traditional vintage techniques and modern state of the art equipment. The fully customizable collections of furniture and upholstery services help their award-winning clients achieve their aesthetic, brand, and logistical goals.
The business was looking to move from a leased location into a property with more space to grow its business while building equity in real estate. After meeting with their local community banker, April was able to secure an SBA 504 loan by partnering with Community Business Finance.
Not only did the SBA 504 loan program help the business conserve working capital to invest in more inventory and to hire more workers, it provided excellent loan terms and a low, long-term fixed interest rate to optimize its monthly cash flow.
